Tenants of Apartment near SDSU Pistol-Whipped and Robbed
Early last Monday morning there was an apartment near the campus of San Diego State University that was broken into by either two or three men and possibly a woman.
There were two men and one woman, all the age of 18, living in the apartment. The intruders entered their apartment, pistol-whipped the tenants and then robbed the place. It is not confirmed, but the intruders may have been looking for drugs. This is according to the police incident report.
The teenagers had just moved into their apartment only three weeks earlier. Police reported that it seemed that the intruders may have been looking for the previous tenants and that they did not realized that there were new tenants living in the apartment. The victims suffered injuries that did not require medical treatment.
The robbers entered the apartment through an open window. After they pistol-whipped the three victims, they forced the teenagers to go into a bathroom. While they were searching the apartment, they made comments as if they were looking for drugs. The robbers stole wallets, cell phones and the woman’s purse before they fled the scene.
The intruders were all wearing ski masks but the teenagers believe there were 2 or 3 men and 1 woman.
