Man Goes to Trial for fatally Stabbing his Mother
Family disagreements can get out of hand at times and even lead to death. Adam James Brown, 42, is being accused of stabbing his 77-year-old mother to death. He is facing a murder trial as determined by a judge.
Brown confessed his guilt to a sheriff’s deputy at the San Diego Hall of Justice on June 9th of this year. This was reported by Patricia Lavermicocca, Deputy District Attorney.
He could be sentenced to 26 years to life in a state prison if he is found guilty of the murder of Lenora Brown, his mother.
Today was the preliminary hearing where the deputy gave his testimony. He stated that Brown told him that the reason why he stabbed his mother in her own home was because the night before she took the side of a judge. Brown said that this judge is the one who shot him.
Lavermicocca added that “Of course, there was no judge who shot him.”
Lenora Brown lived with an elderly man. But this man nor any one else, heard the alleged attack of Brown toward his mother. This was confirmed by the Oceanside police.
Judge K. Michael Kirkman ruled that enough evidence was presented to justify going forth with a murder trial. The trial has been set for October 16th.
