SD: It was a frightening scene for a group of people who had been enjoying their night at the Ocean House bar located on Carlsbad Village Drive.

The group had left the bar and was on their way back to their hotel on Carlsbad Boulevard. While they were walking back, a man who was also drinking at the same bar approached the group. Witnesses told the Carlsbad police that the man started to act bizarre and began arguing with them.

This man then took out a knife that was pocket size and just started jabbing at one of the women in the group. The woman was cut on her arms and hands. She had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of her cuts. A man who interceded was also injured but received only minor cuts.

The man who pulled the knife fled the scene before police got there. Witnessed have described the suspect as white in his 20s. He may be about 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, very thin and cleaned shaven. He may have a buzz cut hairstyle. He wore jeans and a green hooded sweat shirt. He has not been captured as yet.
