Body Found Shot in Oak Park
About 2 am Thursday morning police officers were called to the area of Bayview Heights Place which is near Bayview Heights Drive. When they got there, homicide Lt. Terry McManus said they found a body of a 44 -year-old man lying on the road at the end of the cul-de-sac.
The man has multiple gun shot wounds. He was taken the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:30 am. The man was from San Diego apparently visiting family that lived on the street that his body was found and where he was shot.
Investigators are looking for two men they suspect were involved in the shooting. The men have been described as black and about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall. One of the men had a dark hooded sweat shirt on and the other suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and dark sweat pants.
Police are not sure what the motivation of the shooting was but are investigating the incident further. Police have not released the name of the victim found shot.
