In Oceanside a bagel shop was robbed, but police were able to catch the two robbers this past Monday. The bagel shop was a Bruegger’s Bagels that is located on Oceanside Boulevard near College Boulevard.

Police reported that it was a two person job where one was a 21-year-old and the other was a 19-year-old. They have not released the names of the two robbers. Police have stated that the two suspects entered from a back door of the shop that was locked.

They had one rifle with them. They told one of the employees to get on the floor and lay with their face down. They told the other employee to open the safe. They were able to getaway with about $1,000 and using the back door. The robbery occurred around 4:30 p.m. last Friday.

The Oceanside detectives were able to identify the two suspects, so they obtained a search warrant to go to each home. When police searched their homes they found other weapons, disguises as well as some narcotics. Both the men were arrested and held in the Vista jail as suspects of the bagel shop robbery and conspiracy. The 19-year-old is facing a charge because of the narcotics found in his home.
