On the Golden Hill freeway transition ramp a vehicle on the wrong side of the road caused a truck accident injuring three people.

The accident occurred just before 8:30 am on Wednesday morning, right in the middle of rush hour. The driver that caused the accident entered the ramp that connects traffic from southbound Interstate 5 to eastbound state Route 94, but he was going the wrong direction.

This caused the driver to crash his Oldsmobile sedan into a Peterbilt truck trailer that was carrying dirt. The collision caused the truck to flip and spread dirt all over the road way. The dirt came from the San Diego airport and was contaminated with some undisclosed substance.

The sedan that was spinning was hit in the back by a Subaru Outback driving in the first lane. CHP reported that this caused the sedan to ignite.

The CHP first reported that both drivers were seriously injured, but now reports say that only the sedan driver sustained serious injuries.

The truck driver and the female driver of the Subaru were injured and taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The crash spilled debris all over state Route 94 causing at least one car to become damaged.
